Why trust a site that hasn’t tested anything?

Because we don’t pretend otherwise. Most “we tested 20 helmets” roundups can’t prove they did. Here is what we do instead — and it’s all checkable against the sources we cite.

We read the spec sheet against the standard

Every pick is compared on published certifications (DOT, ECE 22.06, Snell), manufacturer weights and features — with the source and date on every figure.

Prices are live and dated

Numbers come from a daily retailer check and carry the date they were pulled. If the check stops, the price disappears rather than going stale.

“Not published” is a finding

When a maker won't state a weight or certification, we print “Not published” rather than guessing. What a brand leaves out is information too.

We say when to buy the cheaper one

A pricier helmet isn't automatically our pick. Where a cheaper or lighter option is the better buy, that's what we recommend — commission doesn't decide it.

No fake reviews or star ratings

There are no invented testimonials, star aggregates or 'in our testing' claims anywhere on this site. If we can't source it, it isn't here.

One honest author

Written by an enthusiast who reads the manuals and does the math — not a certified tester, and we say so. Nothing here is professional safety advice.
